Tom Sizemore’s Family Told ‘No Further Hope’ After Aneurysm

TUESDAY, Feb. 28, 2023 (HealthDay News) -- Actor Tom Sizemore, who suffered a brain aneurysm last week, remains in critical condition and doctors have told the family there is “no further hope.”
Quoting Sizemore's manager, CBS News reported that doctors have recommended his family make an end-of-life decision.
"The family is now deciding end-of-life matters and a further statement will be issued on Wednesday," Sizemore’s manager Charles Lago said. "We are asking for privacy for his family during this difficult time and they wish to thank everyone for the hundreds of messages of support, and prayers that have been received. This has been a difficult time for them."
Sizemore, known for his roles as McKnight in “Black Hawk Down” and Sgt. Horvath in “Saving Private Ryan,” collapsed about 2 a.m. Saturday at his Los Angeles home, the Associated Press reported.
Lago told the AP at that time that doctors said the aneurysm “occurred as a result of a stroke.”
A brain aneurysm is a bulge in one of the blood vessels within the brain, according to the Mayo Clinic. It can suddenly leak or rupture, releasing blood into the brain, which can be life-threatening.
Sizemore, who is in a coma and in intensive care, is 61 years old.
