Southern Iowa Mental Health Center has openings for full-time mental health therapists or counselors (ie: LMSW, LISW, LMHC, LMFT etc.). We have office locations in Ottumwa and Oskaloosa. We are hiring staff for both locations.
This position is responsible for providing outpatient mental health counseling/therapy services to patients of all ages, to include: clinical assessment and diagnosis, development of treatment plans, individual, family and/or group therapy, and maintaining appropriate documentation. This position would also be responsible for completing assessments on clients who are in the Access Center to help determine best level of care as well as create a treatment plan for the client in order to best meet their needs. Ongoing training and certification opportunities available. Licensing supervision available for non-independent licensure.

Requirements for the position include: current Iowa license to practice therapy/counseling and a minimum of a Master’s degree in social work, counseling or closely related field. Experience preferred, but not required.
Southern Iowa Mental Health Center is seeking applicants for a full time Outreach and Enrollment Coordinator in the Integrated Health Home (IHH) department. This position will handle all referrals, intakes and some minimal cases. This position will have travel to all 11 of the counties we serve. This position is a full time, hourly paid and reports directly to the Community Services Team Lead.
The IHH Outreach and Enrollment Coordinator will be responsible for providing support of coordination and care management activities within the Integrated Health Home team for individuals with serious mental illness. An Integrated Health Home is a best practice model for coordinating the mental health and physical care for individuals with chronic health conditions. Health Coordination services may take place either: at SIMHC, in a satellite office, client home setting or other community organization setting. This position will work collaboratively with staff members throughout SIMHC, as well as, with community partners. This position is an hourly paid position and reports directly to the Community Services Team Lead.
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field is required.
