Eating Ultraprocessed Foods Linked to Subsequent Dementia Risk
Higher consumption of ultra-processed foods (UPF) is associated with later dementia risk. For 72,083 participants 55 years or older followed for a median 10.0 years, UPF were tied to a 10% higher risk for dementia, 14% higher risk for Alzheimer disease, and 28% higher risk for vascular dementia.
