Eosinophil Count May Be Useful as Prognostic Factor for HIV-Positive SCC
In anal HPV-positive squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), eosinophil count could be useful as a prognostic factor. In a study of 472 patients, low eosinophil count (<100 × 10^9/L) in both anal SCC and HPV-positive oropharyngeal cancer was linked to better disease-free survival.
